A failed dishwasher supply line soaked a kitchen floor overnight. We removed the damaged flooring, dried the subfloor and cabinet bases in place and saved the original cabinetry.
The leak ran for several hours before the homeowners woke up, spreading under the cabinet toe-kicks and across the kitchen and breakfast area. The laminate flooring had already cupped, and the concern was water trapped under the base cabinets, where it cannot be seen and where mold often starts.
We shut off the supply, extracted standing water and removed the cupped laminate inside a taped work zone. Toe-kicks were pulled so air movers could push dry air under the cabinets, and a truck-mounted-grade LGR dehumidifier ran around the clock. Daily readings on the subfloor and cabinet bases were shared with the insurance adjuster until every point matched dry standard on day four.
All base cabinets and the granite countertops were saved, which kept the claim far smaller than a full kitchen tear-out. New flooring was installed the following week.
